Winnipeg Metis Association Learning Centre
The WMA Learning Center a computer facility brought to you by a partnership between Winnipeg Metis Association, Urban Aboriginal Strategy and Winnipeg Partnership Agreement. Community organizations are welcome to use the facility and we look forward to partner up with industry assisting with training.
Once you first step inside this new facility you'll notice the aboriginal artwork hanging on the walls. The facility is equipped with 12 new computers with wireless access to the internet. All of the computers are running Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2007. Viewing your work on our 19" LCD monitors will be easier on your eyes than the older CRT monitors. All of these computers are tied together with one wireless network and a laser printer.
So far we have had a few days of work training from other organizations in this facility. Currently, we are offering job search drop ins for the community. Learning at this new center will definitely be enjoyable. What programs and skills would you like to learn? Let us know by calling us at 587-4327 ext. 241 or drop by to check out the facility.
